마더스 데이
샌디는 두 아들을 둔 이혼녀이다. 전 남편이 최근에 젊고 예쁜 모델과 재혼을 하고 심지어 그 여자가 아이들에게 엄마 노릇을 하려고 해서 더욱 짜증이 나는데... 그녀의 보스 미란다는 자신의 커리어 성공을 위해 딸 크리스틴을 태어나자마자 입양을 보냈다. 하지만 크리스틴이 자라나고 결혼에 대해 생각을 하면서 자신을 낳아준 ‘어머니’에 대한 생각이 깊어지고, 결국 절친 제시가 주는 용기에 엄마를 찾아 나서기로 한다. 한편 엄청난 비밀을 갖고 있는 제시와 가비 자매는 왕래가 거의 없는 부모님의 갑작스러운 방문에 매우 당황하는데.. 제각기 다른 '엄마'들은 과연 어떠한 어머니 날 (마더스 데이)을 맞이하게 될까?
